Novena is the hopeful yearning of prayer.

A novena (from Latin: novem, "nine") is an ancient tradition of devotional praying in Christianity, consisting of private or public prayers repeated for nine successive days or weeks. The nine days between the Feast of the Ascension and Pentecost, when the disciples gathered in the upper room and devote themselves to prayer, is often considered to be the first novena.

Follow The Stars…...

Mary’s Mantle consecration began in the barrios in Mexico.  For 46 days (1 day for each star on her mantle) families would gather and pray the rosary for each other and learn the virtues and the 7 gifts of the Holy Spirit.  They would also take turns offering up a day of fasting.  At the end of the 46 days, the families would consecrate their lives and families to the Mother of God.
